Please note that expenses for treatments at hospitals or by medical practitioners that are excluded and listed on our website or notified to policyholders will not be covered. Only expenses up to the stabilization stage are payable in life-threatening situations or after an accident. The complete claim will not be covered. We have introduced the “Cashless Anywhere” facility, allowing you to get cashless hospitalisation at non-network hospitals as well. However, claim intimation must be done 48 hours before admission for planned hospitalisation and within 24 hours of admission for emergency hospitalisation. Please note that the acceptance of cashless treatment at a non-network hospital is subject to the terms and conditions in the policy document and the MOU agreed upon by the hospital with Star Health Insurance. Claims will not be admissible at excluded hospitals unless it is an emergency and only up to the stabilization of the insured. Find the list of excluded hospitals here. If admitted to a non-network hospital where cashless facility is unavailable, you will have to settle the bills directly with the hospital. Afterwards, submit the complete set of original documents to us for reimbursement according to the policy terms and conditions. We offer you several options for submitting the claim documents:
1. You can hand them over at the nearest Star Health office directly or through your advisor.
2. You can also utilize our Customer Portal or Customer App to upload the documents, and then send the full set of original documents via postal mail or courier to our address.
