- Visit the RSBY official website.
- Fill out the registration details and log in to the website.
- A drop-down menu will appear from which you have to select your respective state.
- Click on “Scheme Status” or “Track Your Status” that is displayed on the screen.
- The website may ask for your RSBY insurance number and other registration details to determine the status of your smart card.
The status of your card can also be tracked from the National Portal of India from the state-wise list. This website also displays the details about enrolment, network hospitals, and registered families.
What Are the Inclusions and Exclusions of the RSBY Scheme?
If you are planning to opt for healthcare under the RSBY scheme, take a look at the inclusions below:
- Expenses of all the diagnostic tests and medicines before the hospitalisation.
- The policyholder and family members are covered for hospitalisation costs related to accidents, diseases, bed charges, doctors’ fees, implants, and more.
- During long-term treatment periods, the scheme covers post-hospitalisation charges of medicines and consultation fees for up to 5 days.
- Any kind of dental reconstructive surgery that is a result of an accident or is a part of the treatment regimen.
- Female policyholders get an additional amount of ₹2500 for normal vaginal delivery and ₹4500 for C-section delivery, respectively.
- The scheme covers all the expenses incurred during the termination of pregnancy during an accident or to save the life of the mother.
- The newborn is added to the scheme automatically, even if the maximum number of beneficiaries is exceeded.
- All the expenses incurred during the day care treatments are paid under the scheme, such as eye, ear, and dental surgery due to an accident or procedures such as haemodialysis.
Now, there are also some exclusions under the RSBY scheme, such as:
- Treatments such as gender change surgery, HIV/AIDS, hormone replacement therapy, substance abuse, etc., are not covered under the RSBY scheme.
- Expenses incurred due to the diseases that are not mentioned under the RSBY policy will not be covered.
- The policy does not cover reconstructive or cosmetic dental surgeries or procedures, such as root canals, cavity fillings, etc.
- Expenses incurred during the treatment of any congenital external disease will not be covered under the policy.
- Expenses due to vaccination, suicide, or AYUSH treatments will not be borne by the policy.
