Importance of Linking CGHS Card with ABHA

Linking a CGHS Beneficiary ID with an ABHA number offers several advantages for central government employees:

  • Easy Access to Health Records: Employees can view their medical history anytime on their mobile phones through Personal Health Record (PHR) apps.
  • Centralised Health Data: All generated and linked health records can be accessed from a single platform.
  • Convenient OPD Appointments: In the future, beneficiaries will be able to book OPD appointments by scanning a QR code at the doctor’s room or registration desk in CGHS wellness centres.
  • No Monetary or Fiscal Link: ABHA is purely a digital health initiative and is not connected to any monetary or fiscal schemes of the government. It is designed solely for managing health records and does not provide any financial benefits or subsidies.
  • Access to Digital Health Records: With digital health records and online access, you can conveniently retrieve your health records from anywhere, ensuring timely medical care. It also helps doctors to make informed decisions, leading to better diagnosis and treatment.

Linking your CGHS card with ABHA will help you access your digital health records, simplifying medical consultations and enhancing healthcare efficiency. By integrating these systems, you can manage your health data effortlessly while reducing paperwork. So, if you have not already linked your CGHS and ABHA, follow these easy steps and stay ahead.
