This cover that enhance the limits of your existing policy. It can be purchased either at the time of inception or renewal of the base policy.

Eligibility

The policyholders who are covered under Family Health Optima Insurance Plan / Star Comprehensive Insurance Policy / Medi Classic Insurance Policy (Individual), with a minimum Sum Insured of Rs. 10,00,000/- can avail this add on cover.

Understand what’s included

SECTION I

Enhanced Room Rent

This cover enhances the room, boarding and nursing expenses as per the limits mentioned in the policy clause.

Claim Guard (Coverage for Non-medical Items)

If there is an admissible claim under the base policy, then the expenses for non-medical items specified in this Add on Cover will become payable.

Enhanced Limit for Modern Treatments

If the modern treatments that are listed in the policy clause are covered in the base policy, then such treatments are covered up to the Sum Insured of the basic policy.

Enhanced Limit for AYUSH Treatment

The in-patient hospitalisation expenses incurred for the treatment under Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy systems of medicines in AYUSH hospitals are covered up to the Sum Insured of the base policy.

Home Care Treatment

Expenses incurred on home care treatment for the specified conditions as mentioned in the policy clause are covered up to 10% of the Sum Insured of the base policy subject to the maximum of Rs. 5,00,000/- in a policy year.

Bonus Guard

1) The Cumulative Bonus granted under the base policy will not be reduced at the time of renewal unless the bonus is utilised. 2) On full utilisation of the Sum Insured and nil utilisation of the Cumulative bonus, the Cumulative Bonus granted under the base policy at the time of renewal will not be reduced. 3) On full utilisation of the Sum Insured and partial utilisation of the Cumulative Bonus, the Cumulative Bonus granted under the base policy at the time of renewal will be the balance Cumulative Bonus available. 4) On full utilisation of the Sum Insured and Cumulative Bonus, the Cumulative Bonus granted under the base policy on renewal will be nil.

SECTION II

Option to Choose Aggregate Deductible

Discount on premium is available if the insured person chooses any of the deductible listed in the policy clause.
