How to Claim Aarogyasri Health Benefits?

Claiming the Aarogyasri health benefits is not as complex as the claim process of health insurance schemes. Here's what to do:

  • The beneficiaries must get treatment from the empanelled hospitals and submit the health card to the Vaidya Mitra.
  • They will collect the information from the card before initiating the treatment.
  • The beneficiary can also provide the Aarogyasri number to Vaidya Mitra instead of submitting the original document.
  • If such a situation arises when the documentation does not attest to the beneficiary's Aarogyasri eligibility, they can contact the Aarogyasri Trust for assistance.

The claim process for hospitals differs from that of a beneficiary. They must seek authorization beforehand if any surgical treatment has been planned. Dr YSR Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust can fulfil the claim once the hospital authorities meet the following conditions:

  • The claim amount should be within the pre-authorization limit.
  • Hospitals are allowed to treat only those diseases that are enlisted in the approved treatment list.
  • The claim should be intimated at the earliest opportunity.
  • For seamless claim settlement, hospitals need to produce photographic evidence of the treatment.

The Dr. YSR Aarogyasri Scheme represents a crucial step towards ensuring equitable healthcare access in Andhra Pradesh. It was mainly introduced for low-income families who might otherwise struggle with medical expenses. With ongoing improvements and increased awareness efforts, this initiative has the potential to significantly enhance public health outcomes in the region.
